Hi everybody,
Today, we had a guess speaker named Gurpreet. She gave us information about what to do to be healthy and live well. We learned that some one is healthy because he does exercise. There are three types of exercise, slow, medium and fast. Each one is different from another by the heart rate. We are also healthy because we eat healthy food. Each person have(has) to eat fruits, vegetables, whole grain and food high in fibre. But certain things that we eat, we have to eat with moderation like red meat, salt, and processed food. We have to always read labels of processed food before buying or consuming. We have to avoid alcohol or drink less, also we have to avoid smoking and to stay away from second hand smoking. Make sure to get a checked up once a year.
I really appreciate the presentation.

Mental health describes a level of psychological well being. Unfortunately in spite of the wide range of modern and effective treatments available, mental illness such as depression, anxiety and schizophrenia, remain under recognized.

Angelic 14/01/27

So true ! I think one in five people will suffer from a mental illness sometime in their lifetime. Every family will have this experience. The hardest part of getting treatment is 'negative stigma'. We wouldn't even think twice of getting help to cure a broken arm, but to ask for help to cure a broken brain is difficult. - Kamikaze 14.-2-05

How you can keep mental health ?

Meditation is an ancient practice. Meditation originally was to help understanding of the sacred and mystical forces of life. These days, meditation is more common used for relaxation and low stress. Everybody can practice it, any ages, any gender.
In my own opinion, I always suggest meditation for to keep mental health. I use to practice meditation all the time I can do. Doesn`t matter where are you. You can practice everywhere. You don’t need to go to any special place even in the washroom, or wear any special clothes. You just need 5 minutes per day for calm down yourself, close your eyes, breathe deeply and slowly, try thinking in your own breathing, feel your own heart bits and that`s it.

If you practice more meditation. You can extend the time and apply more stuffs in your thoughts, as during breathing, you can think about with each breathe you inhale wellness, healing, love and health and when you exhale, exhale all worries, troubles, painful, depression, illness, toxins and whatever you want and think that all those things, transform and transmute to the good opposite.

Meditation is easy, healthy, doesn’t restrictions at all and totally FREE !

It’s a state of well-being in which you realize your own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work and study productively, and are able to make a contribution to your family and community.

Mental Health Week 2014 will be held on May 5-11. Please see for more information about this event.

Mental illness affects people of all ages. 20% of Canadians will suffer from mental illness at some time in their lives. 8% of adults will suffer from major depression and 1% will suffer from bipolar disorder or manic depression.
Schizophrenia affects 1% of Canadian population, anxiety disorders affect 5% of household population, and suicide which is one of the leading causes of death in both men and women accounts for 24% of all deaths among 15-24 years of age and 16% among 25-44 years of age.

Mental health means striking a balance in all aspects of your life: social, physical, spiritual, economic and mental.

As we age, we face many changes and many sources of stress – we are not as strong as we used to be, illness is more of a problem, children move away from home, people we love die, we may become lonely, and eventually we must give up our jobs and retire.
Coping with all these changes is difficult, but it can be done. The keys to coping include your long-term lifestyle, your ability to expect and plan for change, the strength of your relationships with surviving family and friends, and your willingness to stay interested in and involved with life.

At what age does mental illness strike most often ? - Kamikaze 14/01/24

Hi what is mental health?

Mental health is everyone’s business.

Together we can do it.

In many cases, children and youth in Canada who need mental health services are often unable to access them, unless their families are able to pay for services privately.

We need change. We need to be doing more to provide for the mental health needs of our young people. The consequences of failing to do so can be tragic.

It is very important to get help for a mental illnessif you need it and also to help people who have it. Mental health affects people many ways.

So it is always a good thing to get help from people around you.

Today I will share with you guys one home remedy about flu and cough or dry cough. I used to do this remedy when I

got flu and cough. Even I used this for my kids too. I must say, this remedy is very effective. I try to avoid antibiotics as much as possible.

Ginger juice 1tbsp

Honey 1tsp

Crushed black paper half tsp

warm water half cup.

Mix all those ingredients and drink. You can take this herbal tea 3 or 4 times in a day but it must be before sleep.

There is no restriction about ingredients measurement you can change it according to your taste.

Stay blessed.

Thanks Zippy, I've never tried it with the pepper.
